Flopper is a Fish in Fortnite: Battle Royale, that was added in Chapter 2: Season 1.

Fishing

Floppers are caught usually in Fishing Holes, but they can be caught in calm waters too at a still decent chance. They are found in any body of water, with all versions being found anywhere.

The maximum size of Floppers is 60cm, while the minimum is 30cm.

Functionality

Floppers are consumed to heal 40 Health. They can only be consumed at less than full Health.

Floppers can be thrown by holding the Aim button and using the projectile arc to guide them. Once landed, it will ping its location to squad-mates.

Obtaining

Floppers can be found by Fishing as well as looted from Ice Boxes.

Strategy Guide

• Floppers are very useful to gaining quick health, as their time to consume versus the healing they provide is one of the fastest in the game for raw Health. As such, a player should reasonably carry a full stack of Floppers vs a full stack of Medkits, as the healing provided is less, but much faster, at 4 seconds as opposed to 30.

• The Orange Flopper is one of 3 fish that were originally available in Chapter 2: Season 1. Like other fish back then, it also only had one version.
• When picked up, dropped, or thrown, all Floppers become Orange Floppers, as well the Orange Flopper being the icon for all Floppers.
• The Orange Flopper's appearance is similar to that of Fishstick's, as Fishstick is theorized to be a mutated Flopper.
• Aquaman is seen riding a giant Orange Flopper in the Trailer for Chapter 2: Season 3.
